Apprentice Carpenter

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Apprentice Carpenter to join our tight-knit team at Compound (www.compound.co.nz), Queenstown’s award-winning construction company specialising in complex, high-performance luxury homes.

At Compound we don’t do standard builds. We tackle complex builds on complex sites across the Queenstown-Lakes area, delivering warm, enduring homes that families love and that perform as long-term investments. Our work is grounded in deep build science, including Passive House principles and energy-efficient, high-performance construction.

You’ll be working on beautiful, technically demanding projects where attention to detail, quality workmanship, and problem-solving on challenging sites are essential.

About you:
- 1-2 Years experience and keen to work towards being a qualified carpenter
- Strong communication skills
- Pride in producing clean, precise work
- Ability to work safely and efficiently on complex sites
- Interest in (or willingness to learn) Passive House standards and energy-efficient building practices is a big plus
